Why Should I Vote in the 2017 Nova Scotia Provincial Election?

It’s election time again in Nova Scotia, a time that is met with a chorus of groans and an overwhelmingly feeling of apathy. In the previous provincial election, just under 60% of eligible voters in Nova Scotia cast their ballot with only 20% of eligible electors between the ages of 18 and 24 voting. Change is never easy. The fundamental step to implementing change or action in society and our communities is by voting in elections.

StudentsNS launches Get Out the Vote Campaign for provincial election

Halifax, NS - Students Nova Scotia is excited to announce the official launch of its “Get Out The Vote Campaign”, a non-partisan, student-led, provincewide voter mobilization campaign.

“The objective of this campaign is to encourage all students in Nova Scotia to head to the polls on May 30th and ensure their voices are heard,” said Collette Robert, Chair at StudentsNS and SMU student.
